Quarantine Certificate isn't required for cosmetic registration in China

Ministry of Health, P.R.C. (shorted as China MOH below) and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the P.R.C. issued the Announcement on Modifying the Management Measure for Cosmetics Imported from BSE-Infected Areas (shorted as theAnnouncement below).

 

According to the Announcement. starting from August 31, 2007, importers are no longer requested to provide the Certificate for Cosmetics (i.e. Quarantine Certificate) issued by the administrative department in charge or agencies officially authorized in BSE-infected areas when applying for Hygiene Permit (or Registration Credence) with the health administrative department which are under the State Council or declaring for inspection and quarantine with the entry-exit inspection and quarantine authorities. It is still forbidden to import cosmetics or cosmetic raw materials with high-risk ingredients from BSE-infected areas.
